Cities Leading Food Production: keynote speaker Dan Kittredge

Dan Kittredge presenting at the Cities Leading Food Production square during VIV MEA 2025 in Abu Dhabi

We are happy and proud to announce that Dan Kittredge, founder of the Bionutrient Food Association & The Bionutrient Institute will be one of the keynote speakers in the Cities Leading Food Production programme at VIV Europe 2026!

Dan will inspire you by showing how Nutrient Density will empower new business opportunities in the value chain between farmers, agribusiness and the market.

He also participated as thought leader and speaker during Cities Leading Food Production at VIV MEA 2025 in Abu Dhabi last November:

“I can tell you that a label doesn’t guarantee results. Certification and outcomes like soil health, flavor, and nutrition are different things. Our focus is on empiricism—using metadata to define nutritional caliber through a 1-to-100 biochemical scale. We’re collecting global crop samples with full metadata—microbiome, soil, health trial data—to establish percentile benchmarks for carrots, beef, wheat, and other foods.

As an NGO, we aim to publish these definitions and support businesses in creating tools for farmers, wholesalers, chefs, and consumers to assess food quality instantly and noninvasively. By aligning economic incentives with nutritional value, we can drive regenerative outcomes, restore soil and human health, and counter climate change. Science, tech, and AI—used in harmony with nature, not control—can solve these systemic issues quickly and collaboratively.

The Cities Leading Food Production platform gives me the opportunity to reach new investors, tech partners, governments and communities on a global scale, supporting local and regional action.”
