Cities leading food production at VIV MEA 2025 - Abu Dhabi

From vulnerability to resilience: regional food systems in the face of global shocks

International delegates from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, USA and Asia will converge at the Cities Leading Food Production roundtables and inspiration sessions to address the most pressing challenges facing societies, to discuss critical topics spanning regional food systems, regenerative agriculture, governance, technology innovations, water management, youth engagement and finance.

It is Cities Leading Food Production’s goal to set up partnership networks for the realisation of a learning business and agricultural ecosystem, between cities and regions in UAE, the EU and the world at large. The programme will inspire through urgent topics addressed by global thought leaders John D Liu, Dan Kittredge, Ties van der Hoeven, Prof Fadel Ndiame, Dr Vinay Nangia, Dr. Mohammed Al-Oun, Tatiana Antonelli Abella, Carla Moonen, Nadine Benchaffai, Ásgeir Oskarsson and many more.

To make this happen we are building the bridge between the current system and the emerging markets by onboarding all networks and facilitating the process of inspiration, co-creation and co-development. Combining the activities and expertise of all networks and partners provides a license to operate and create the food systems for the future.

This year’s VIV MEA edition promises to be the most comprehensive yet, uniting global expertise with regional leadership across 18,000 square meters to advance sustainable growth and business development throughout the MENA region.
